The Australian sea lion (ASL) is Australia's only endemic species of seal. The species is endangered with as low as 10,000 individuals in the wild.

Seal Bay on Kangaroo Island, is the best place in the world to see wild ASLs -home to the third largest colony of ASLs with an estimated population of 800. Over 100,000 people from all over the world visit Seal Bay each year.

Help researchers asses the impacts of ecotourism at Seal Bay by recording disturbance through behavioural indicators in sea lions as you move along the boardwalk.

Sightings of ASLs elsewhere around KI can also be recorded in our monitoring activity!
